Facial Paralysis Awareness Family Day Registration 2019


Join us on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 12:00 noon at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California, for our 5th Annual Facial Paralysis Awareness Family Day!

This year’s event will feature a family day at the seaside Aquarium of the Pacific.  We will have lunch, followed by a variety of speakers who are involved in raising awareness within our facial paralysis community. There will be face painting, entertainment, fun giveaways, a silent auction and door prizes! 

You will be able to meet and network with others who are living and thriving with facial paralysis.  Attendees will also be enjoy to enjoy free time at the aquarium after the event.

Special Guests:     Our speakers for the day will include:

  • Carson Barenborg, beauty blogger and founder of Beauty with Paralysis
  • Brian Apprille, comedian and founder of the podcast series, “Unique Smiles: The Facial Paralysis Podcast
  • Elizabeth Robinson, founder of Facial Paralysis Support Network Austrialia – an international online support community
  • Dr. Faye Wachs, sociologist and researcher on the social effects of facial paralysis.
  • Michelle Mendoza,  realtor and mother of Charlie, will discuss parenting a child with facial paralysis

Medical professionals and supporters in attendance will include Dr. Babak Azizzadeh,  Mary Jo Buttafuoco, and others to be announced!

Location:   Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, California (next to Shoreline Park).  Public parking is available in the parking garage next to the aquarium, and at nearby lots. 

Registration: The suggestion donation for this event is $25 per adult, and $15 per child (3-17).   This will include a catered lunch, an event t-shirt, and all-day admission to the aquarium!
